Employed by Staffordshire County Council with duties across the Together4Children Region.

We are looking for a committed and highly motivated individual to join us in this key Regional Administration Officer position.
Together4Children is a partnership between Shropshire Council, Staffordshire County Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Telford & Wrekin Council. We are the regional adoption agency for the four councils. We also provide other services and initiatives that support children’s permanency.
Our ambition is to ensure that children who come into local authority care and are not able to return to their parents, achieve permanence within loving families without unnecessary delay.
Main ResponsibilitiesYou'll join our team within our ‘Central Permanency Hub’ to complete a range of tasks for our Regional Adoption Panels. There's a lot of variety in this role so you'll find lots to keep you interested.
Some of your main duties will include:
- Coordinating the Regional Adoption Panel, providing support to the regional Panel Adviser to prepare agendas, documentation and minuting meetings
- Liaising with partner agencies
- Recording referrals
- Maintaining and monitoring a range of ICT/digital platforms including computer-based information systems such as office email, Microsoft Office and Teams for meeting facilitation and intranet/internet facilities.
- There will also be a financial element to the role in terms of raising and payment of invoices and recording financial transactions.
The work you’ll do is really important because you will contribute towards giving our families and children the right support, at the right time.
The Ideal CandidateYou'll have:
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Business Admin or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Be competent with ICT in terms of Microsoft office generally and using IT systems
- Have experience taking minutes in meetings
- Good communication and listening skills
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Able to complete work accurately with attention to detail
- And ideally if you have some knowledge of children and families even better!

The base for the role will be 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH, although Staffordshire are committed to and promote agile working and this position will include working from home primarily. There may also be a requirement to travel to other Regional Offices on occasion to support them in this role when needed, however mileage expenses will be paid. The costs for this post are recharged to Stoke-on-Trent City Council under the Together4Children Regional Partnership arrangements
