The Role


Due to exciting company growth, Wessex Internet has a new opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our team. Reporting into our HR Advisor you will be the first point of contact for all HR admin related queries. This role takes on the responsibility of completing essential processes to ensure regulatory compliance. Overseeing our inbox, collecting and updating important employee information, and drafting documentation.


This role would suit someone who wants to develop their career in HR and gain experience providing administration. You will need to be driven and determined, super organised and thrive on variety and a busy work load.


Responsibilities


  • Be the first point of contact for HR admin related queries, liaising with the wider HR Team as necessary
  • Manage reference requests for employees that have exited the business
  • Schedule all company training
  • Complete payroll preparation, e.g., unpaid leave reports, timesheets
  • Manage HR inbox
  • Maintain our HR software ensuring it is kept up to date with employee information and documentation
  • Liaise with various stakeholders across the business to ensure necessary HR paperwork has been completed
  • HR reporting e.g. sickness records, headcount reports and monthly activity summaries
  • Perform quality checks and regular maintenance for accuracy of employee records
  • Provide administrative support to HR team, including, but not limited to, drafting correspondence, managing employee and contractor records, and updating reports within the HRIS systems

Requirements


  • Previous experience within a HR role or function (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of HR processes required to ensure regulatory compliance (advantageous)
  • Confident using Microsoft packages
  • Excellent written and spoken communication
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • CIPD membership and qualifications desirable but not essential

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience

Role Type: Full Time/Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Office based near Blandford Forum, Dorset

Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays
