A new opportunity has arisen to join our Front of House department. This is an exciting time to join as we are now completing a major building project to transform Rhodes House, a grade 2* listed building constructed in 1929, into a leading convening centre for the Rhodes Trust and its strategic partners.

Role Purpose
The Receptionist will be based in the main entrance to Rhodes House and is responsible for the efficient running of the reception and related areas. This role will be the first point of contact for all visitors including members of the general public, Scholars, Trustees, staff and visitors therefore the post holder must provide a first-class service, whilst maintaining the professional and positive image of the Trust.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering professional reception services to all building users.
- Welcome visitors to the House and provide assistance where necessary, such as directing them to the appropriate area, issuing visitor passes and arranging transportation from the House for staff and guests.
- To respond to enquiries from staff, Scholars, Trustees and the general public on a daily basis and ensure that enquiries are dealt with in a prompt and helpful manner, promoting a professional and positive image of the Trust.
- Work closely with all departments of the Trust and in particular the Events Team and their clients.
- Maintain the tidiness and organisation of the reception area ensuring a smart professional image at the first point of contact.
- Handle enquiries, forwarding calls and messages to colleagues in an accurate, timely and professional manner.
- Support arrangements for conferences, seminars and meetings as required.
