£11.00 per hour
TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PROVIDE THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF SERVICE TO GUESTS
Use of computers is an essential part of the job
· Is available to register, process, and greet guests promptly.
· Checks the daily arrival list, ensuring all relevant Back up is present.
· Welcomes customer to the hotel.
· Arranges fulfilment of customer services by working with:
- Porters
- Housekeeping
- Reservations
- Food & Beverage
· Allocates rooms and issues appropriate keys.
· Follows-up and verifies arrivals by updating registration cards in regards to spelling of guest’s name, address and special requests
· Minimises loss of revenue by adhering to all established credit procedures
· Insures all guests establish credit upon check-in.
· Receives proper approval codes for cash and credit card paying customers.
· Completes Shift closing accurately by getting appropriate approval signatures on Cashier envelopes.
· Adheres to hotel polices regarding the use of personal floats.
· Handles difficult situations to best of ability.
· Keeps effective key control.
Deals with all complaints and negative comments promptly and inform the Duty Manager.
· Ensures system security by running regular On Line Back Ups and printing Emergency Reports every 2 hours.
· Maintains a pleasant working environment by keeping work areas tidy at all times.
· Do regular security checks of the hotel
· Be responsible for minibus transfers and ensure that all minibus usage is properly logged and guests are charged accordingly
· Set up the Grab & Run buffet and close it down after service
· Prepare and deliver room service orders promptly throughout the night and ensure guests are charged accordingly
· Perform general cleaning duties of the front and back of house areas to ensure all areas are clean and tidy
