What you will do
Working within the existing in-house Motor IT team and reporting to the Assistant IT Service Manager, you will provide mission critical development, administration and support for STB’s Motor Finance IT department. This will include Business As Usual activities in terms of system support and service delivery such as responding to support calls, (both incident and change), management of supporting documentation, interacting with users and working with third party suppliers to resolve incidents and problems. Additionally the role will also include support to business ICT projects as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Administering and supporting systems software and any associated applications.
- Liaising with the IT Service Desk as required to ensure the provision of an effective and efficient support model and service offering in line with agreed service levels to maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Working with internal and external technical and business analysts to log, investigate, route and track incidents through to final resolution – updating all relevant knowledge repositories on outcomes identified to provide a quality, efficient service to the end user.
- To generate reporting packs as prescribed by the Service Manager or Assistant Manager for onwards transmission to Senior Management or other relevant business colleagues.
- Plan, manage and execute small scale projects & BAU developments as required.
- Undertaking impact assessment of requested changes to help the Motor IT team identify the path to take i.e. BAU change or Project.
- Manage and support changes according to the service release cycle working with the Assistant IT Service Manager and other stakeholders as required.
- Works with business colleagues, internal/external suppliers and the Motor IT Team to create a forward release schedule to give visibility of future release timings and expected content.
- Sits on the CAB for Motor IT services to contribute from a Release & Deployment and Transition perspective if required.
What you will bring
SQL query writing skills, with the ability to write moderately complex queries to retrieve or update data an advantage
A knowledge of XML, SnapLogic, .Net or HTML5 would be beneficial but not essential
ITIL Foundation (V3.0) qualification would be advantageous
Experience of use with Jira and Confluence would be advantageous
