Applications are invited for a motivated and enthusiastic person to provide maternity leave cover in a Receptionist/Clerical role.
Working in a small, friendly team and supporting the Physiotherapy service at Fairfield General Hospital, you will provide general administrative duties to this very busy Outpatient Department. As such, you will need to be hard working and flexible.
You must have substantial administrative and clerical experience including a good knowledge of software programs/IT systems such as Excel, Word and Outlook. You will need to use your initiative and have the qualities to work in an unpredictable environment. Previous experience of NHS systems and processes is desirable.
You will at times be acting as the first point of contact for our service therefore you will require excellent communication and customer care skills. You should also be committed to team working; adaptable to the needs of the service; and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Provide a range of administrative and clerical services
- Meet and greet patients and visitors to the department
- Deal with patient queries in person, on the phone and by email
- Input data related to referrals, appointment booking and discharge processes
- Make patient transport and interpreter bookings
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise and prioritise tasks
