Martley Capital Group (MCG) is a new real estate investment management platform specialising in investing, asset management, credit markets and fund management with offices in London, Suffolk, Warsaw, Budapest and Zagreb. Richard Croft, Martley Capital Group’s Chief Executive, is an award-winning investment manager and has previously founded both M7 Real Estate, one of the UK’s best-known real estate investment managers, and Halverton REIM LLP. Both of which were successfully sold to institutional managers with £2bn and £5bn of AUM respectively.
Responsibilities
- The real estate investment analyst will be responsible for assisting the investment management team in the analysis and reporting on the performance of existing and potential new investments
- Modelling real estate funds including any financing structures and calculating NPV, IRR, promote/distributions
- Assisting the team in annual/monthly IRR forecasts, cash flow analysis, and hold/sell analysis
- Performing in-depth Excel analysis and reporting on the performance of investment vehicles, including liaising with other teams to get revised data inputs when required
- Assisting with reviewing quarterly reporting and valuations from external valuers
- Liaising effectively and professionally with teams within the company, including the board and senior management committee
- Using third-party tools to produce and review fund monitoring reports for investors
- Collating and managing data using in-house database systems
- Assisting with the production and review of ad-hoc analytical reports
- Supporting projects or specific work streams
- Efficiently handling large sets of data and be able to confidently process them into required formats
Skills & Requirements
- 0-2 years’ experience in the financial and/or real estate sector
- Fluent in English – proficiency in a second language preferred
- Experience in building real estate financial models
- ACCA/ACA/CFA progression towards professional qualifications highly desired
- Independent, personable, collaborative, self-motivated and entrepreneurial
- Genuine and demonstrable interest in investment, finance and real estate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment, and ability to perform under deadline pressure
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Permission to work in the UK
