Monday – Sunday full time (varied days) 37.5 hours

£10.42ph to £17.61ph
Job Overview: Based within the Vehicle Control Centre, the post holder receives telephone and radio messages from drivers and customers to book travel using the NHS service.
To ensure a 24 hour a day service, the post holder will be required to work shifts according to a rota and will undertake all the duties listed below during one or more of these shifts.
Main Duties: All positions are available as full-time hours worked over a variety of shift patterns and durations up to 12 hours 24/7. There will be the requirement and expectation that staff will work over Christmas and New Year.
It is envisaged the successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a pressurised environment and demonstrate an ability to work effectively and make decisions whilst providing care and advice to the public.
- Ensure that patients journey's are planned to attend their appointments and are taken home within the required operational key performance indicators.
- Use of Cleric control and dispatch system to manage vehicles and Third-Party resources.
- Plan the day-to-day organisation of resources.
- Ensure the effective utilisation of resources throughout the region.
- Support the vehicle management team in achieving and excelling in the provision of patient care and ensuring patients receive a high-level customer service.
- Understand patient transport and the impact it has on our patients’ wellbeing.
