Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy; comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Carry out work assignments with the highest level of service delivery.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate tools.
- Maintains equipment, facilities, and work area in a presentable and safe working condition.
- Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
- Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Assists, performs, and may lead basic to complex troubleshooting, scheduled preventive maintenance and modifications on a wide range of electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment, including data acquisition systems and downhole tools to determine the cause of failure, performs corrective actions following documented Company policies and procedures against their level of training and competence.
- Assists, performs, and may lead testing and calibration tasks of tools following documented policies and procedures against their level of training and competence.
- Completes Work Orders, AIRTs, PFTs, Forms, Checklists, Repair Requests and ensures all relevant databases are maintained accurately.
- Complies with the WO labour time log by accurately clocking in/Out of WO (Work Orders) Time tracking system.
- Orders parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogues or approved suppliers according to Weatherford’s guidelines and procedures.
- Supports and participates in the continuous efficiency improvement program of the facility.
- Estimates costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures.
- Where required, will report all equipment failures and troubleshooting requirements to R&M Management.
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Accountable to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses.
- Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company, including completing all necessary functions, compliance and business standards, operations training and competencies to enhance their knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Demonstrates leadership, ethical behaviour, and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times.
- HND or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Electromechanical Studies.
- 1-2 years’ experience in oilfield R&M activities.
- Excellent communication, organization, troubleshooting, problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and a high degree of self-discipline and motivation.
- Ability to generate clear and concise reports in a timely and
- professional manner.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Earth Sciences or equivalent.
- Thorough technical knowledge of Drilling Systems products and services.
- Experience of working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements and explosives.
- Awareness of NDT, NDE and ATEX policies and principles.
- Knowledge and prior experience of software and hardware installation on Surface Computer Systems.
