Junior Document Controller
The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK’s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout the UK & Europe.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to integrate a Junior Document Controller to support our growing team.
Role
We are seeking a self-motivated candidate that will be a key member of the team. Your daily tasks will involve managing and recording large amounts of information and ensuring it is accurately stored. You will also help with other administrative duties such as answering telephone, stationary and any other ad hoc duties that are required.
Job Title: Document Controller
Location: Head Quarters – Banbridge, Co Down
Hours: 8.00am to 5.00pm Mon to Thurs & 8.00am to 3.00pm Friday
Salary: Competitive depending on experience
Responsible to: Document Control Manager
Closing Date: Friday 30th June 2023 at 5pm
Core Responsibilities of role:
· Process many documents daily, including uploading & downloading drawings / documents and printing distribution.
· Manage Estimating document control procedures ensuring correct revision control is maintained and communicated to the relevant parties.
· Manage the Document Transmittal process with the Client.
· Working on active projects ensuring that information is recorded and uploaded onto companies CDE and distributed to all relevant parties.
· Maintain accurate document record logs of all drawings and documents issued by all parties at each stage of a project.
· Work to continuously improve and enhance procedures and systems utilized for document control.
· General administration of project documents.
· Perform weekly checks to ensure all project documents are kept up to date.
· Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and staff.
· Attend meetings and ensure that document control protocols are being adhered to ensuring that accurate minutes are recorded and distributed to relevant people.
· Report to the lead Document Controller daily.
· To maintain high standards of work within your department.
· General administrative work and any other duties necessary to support office staff including answering phones and covering reception when required.
Essential Criteria:
· 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent, these must include Mathematics and English Language
· Good Microsoft Office skills – to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
· Ability to take ownership of their duties and a willingness to grow and learn within their team and the company.
· Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Good telephone manners and professional approach to all daily tasks.
