We are now recruiting for a Quality Operative to join our Supply Chain team.
This role works the QA leadership team and aligns with 3rd party suppliers. You will work with key external suppliers to ensure that Quality processes are in place, operating effectively and improved when opportunities arise.
You will support the day to day operating engagement with Suppliers to track, monitor and resolve quality actions in a timely manner to minimise external risk whilst balancing controls.
You will be based in our Bristol city centre office, with flexibility to work from home.
This role is full-time and permanent.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collect, process, interpret and present Quality data in order to identify trends that could impact on the business and identify Quality and Food Safety improvement opportunities
- Support QA interaction with internal customers and external suppliers in the resolution of product technical issues regardless of branding level.
- Identify and implement corrective action processes to manage customer complaints and claims.
- Work with 3rd parties to ensure they comply with Accolade requirements for Quality Management/Food Standards processes
- Maintenance of regular reporting standards including systems improvements to support; Audit of quality issues at relevant sites. Ensure compliance activities embedded in all relevant areas by 3rd parties.
- Support evaluation of the Management Systems with the aim to promote a program of continuous improvement and ‘Best Practice’ philosophies.
- Production of a monthly report on Quality Management and Food Safety KPI’s and report on emerging trends and developments.
- Contribute to the Global Risk Management plan to provide company policy and direction in Quality Risk Management and Food Safety.
- Participate in the application of Global Risk Management plan through education, audit and investigation of Accolade Wines sites and suppliers globally.
- Identification of issues within the AW and 3rd party Quality Management and Food Safety Systems to meet the standards defined in ISO 9001, IFS, BRC, HACCP, AS/NZS 4360 Principles of Risk Management, and any specific customer requirements.
What you'll bring:
- University degree in Science (Quality) or related discipline is preferable
- Demonstrable experience of some areas of cask production and packaging processes, bottling, wine handling and analysis and blending.
- Strong experience built within an FMCG environment.
- Experience and sound working knowledge of QA and Food standards legislation, Regulations and Standards and auditing & risk management principles
- Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers
- Proactivity, strong attention to detail and a passion for wine!
