Full time, all year round
Salary £21,273- £22,584 depending on skills and experience

We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator who is educated to degree level to work in our busy admissions department. The successful candidate will support the work of UK and international student admissions. The successful candidate needs to be organised, accurate with great attention to detail. This role would suit a graduate seeking their first role as well as an experienced administrator.

The successful candidates will be required to possess an enhanced DBS certificate and be subscribed to the update service to be employed at the College.

JOB DESCRIPTION
ADMISSIONS & ACCOMMODATION OFFICER
(Full Time, All Year Round)
Responsible to: Head of Registry
Duties will include:
General Admissions
- To deal with all admissions queries including e-mails, phone calls and visits in person in a timely manner and ensure they are satisfactorily concluded, referring to Line manager when unable to answer a query.
- To provide the administration for the admissions process including Adult Education. This will involve processing student applications, organising interviews, accurate data entry and scanning documents, under direction of the Head of Registry
- Preparation of student and parent correspondence for admissions and enrolment under direction of the Head of Registry.
- Support the liaison with schools and external agencies regarding admissions and interviews as required
- To organise advisory interviews and student enrolment.
- To provide support at results days, new parents’ evenings, open evenings, and other College events as required.
- To assist in the preparation and amendment of admissions forms and systems.
- Assist with the administration of returning students including distribution and collection of electronic forms and organisation of interviews.
- Liaise with SLT and College management team when organising interview appointments as required.
- To provide support to the marketing team with marketing events as required including internal tours and attending external events as required. This will include working some evenings for which time Off in lieu will be granted.
International Admissions and Accommodation:
- To liaise with international agents and students with regards to applications and fees.
- To deal with administrative tasks for the recruitment, enrolment, induction and ongoing support for international students.
- To process international applications
- To allocate students to host families or College student accommodation, checking availability and updates are identified and recorded.
- To understand UKVI policies surrounding Student Route Visa and ensure compliance of applications.
- To assist with any issues relating to host families and students to a satisfactory conclusion.
- The set up and adjustments of Host family payments.
- To deal with correspondence and administration regarding international accommodation allocation and relocations as required.
- To ensure that all stakeholders are informed of international accommodation allocations and relocations and that data systems are updated accordingly.
- To organise transfers of students from the airport to their accommodation
Other duties
In exceptional circumstances, in the absence of the International Student Welfare officer and the
Assistant House parent:
- be on call on arrival weekends and evenings of international students to deal with any emergencies
- provide emergency cover for international house at the weekend, if required (this attracts additional payment)
- carry out Host Family visits and settling in visits as required and ensure completion and monitoring of all relevant paperwork including Terms and Conditions, Declaration of change and Gas Certificates
GENERAL
- To follow college policy in the management of Health and Safety in all aspects of your work, including a pro-active approach to Risk Assessment for all your duties.
- Undertake regular appraisal and professional development to ensure proper delivery of these responsibilities. This includes training as required to maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and best practice, and using this knowledge to review college policies and procedures.
- Follow good practice and college policy in all aspects of the work and in the management of staff and resources. The post-holder will show an awareness of, and compliance with, all college policies and procedures, but particularly those relating to Health & Safety and Equal

- Undertake any reasonable task at the request of the Principal or designated Deputy or the
Director of Services Supporting Learning

The Officer needs to: -
▪ Please note that during advisory interviews in the spring term and enrolment in late
August/early September, you will be required to stay late or start earlier as needed
to deal with admissions activities.
▪ Cover specific holidays as requested by the College.
