The role

The Academic Quality and Policy Office is looking for a highly motivated Quality Assurance Officer to work within this central professional services team in the division of Education and Student Success. This is a key support role contributing and advising on the quality assurance and enhancement of education at the University of Bristol, especially in relation to the new structure of the academic year.

This is a full-time, open ended position with fixed-funding for 2 years.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be responsible for undertaking the work required to align the policies and processes that underpin the UoB quality framework with the new structure of the academic year.
  • You will support on regulatory changes, especially in relation to the structure of the academic year.
  • You will support the processes for approval of new programmes and educational partnerships.
  • You will also work as part of the Quality Team to coordinate institutional-level quality reviews of education provision and curriculum development, working with academic staff and students to promote continuous improvement.

You should apply if

  • You have relevant experience, ideally in a quality assurance higher education setting.
  • You are a great communicator, building good working relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • You have good planning and organisational skills.
  • You are an analytical problem solver, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • You have a flexible and adaptable collaborative approach to service delivery and problem resolution
