Subscribers use GE Insights to discover how their peers are implementing policies and driving change so they can learn from their experiences, apply best practice and further their careers.

Information about the role:

Content is ‘King’ for GE Insights and integral to its success. So, we are now recruiting for a dedicated Public Sector Content Editor and Manager to head up the GE Insights content team, lead the content strategy, and manage the day-to-day content requirements for the platform.

We’re looking for somebody with a real interest in the public sector and policy changes who is able to produce, proof and edit engaging content – short and long form - for a wide-ranging public and voluntary sector audience. You’ll also have line management experience and ideally have managed a content growth plan and strategy for a media/publishing or within a public sector specific role.

This is an exciting time to join this growing division of PDG. Reporting into the Head of Production and working out of our Fleet Street offices in London, the role will also involve developing relationships with content contributors from across the public sector and working closely with the GE conference production team, speakers, sponsors, and partners.

Key responsibilities:

· Manage and curate content to provide solutions to public sector challenges and insight into the impact of policy changes

· Lead the content strategy and manage the day-to-day content requirements for the platform, which includes case studies, special features, lived experience articles, interviews, videos and more

· Line management of the GE Insights Content Producer/s

· Write clear engaging copy for web and SEO alongside copy editing and proofreading

· Provide editorial oversight, feedback, and quality control on content

· Support marketing to build accurate audience profiles to inform strategy and tactics

· Collaborate with the marketing team in the creation of a content marketing strategy and social media posts

· Tracking, analysis and reporting of content generation and usage

· Develop and maintain close and effective relationships with contributors and partners

· Keep the website up to date, incl. formatting and SEO

Skills, experience & attributes:

· Deep understanding and passion for public sector and policy

· Understand commercial implications of policy developments

· Generating public sector facing content

· Copy editing and proofreading

· Ability and initiative to research and develop multiple content areas

· Writing clear and engaging copy for web and SEO

· An understanding on Google analytics

· Attention to detail and able to meet multiple deadlines

· Excellent relationship builder

· Using content management systems (websites)

· Editing software incl. Adobe Suite - desirable

· Self-motivated and able to work in a team on own initiative

· Working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
