Are you a compassionate and dedicated Wheelchair Therapist looking for an exciting new role?
Pulse is now seeking to recruit a band 3 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist who specialises in wheelchair therapy, to join a well-established team at our client's private trust in Kent. The post is available to start as soon as possible, working full time hours on a fixed term contract for a 12 month period.
Therapists applying will ideally have previous experience working within a wheelchair service.
Duties within this role will include:
- Preparing clinic rooms for clinicians such as ensuring correct paperwork is available, cleaning and replacement of postural support items and PPE.
- Organising the necessary paperwork and information gathering from notes prior to clinical assessment.
- Raising orders, monitoring delivery of items, co-ordinating multiple items for a single handover to facilitate the efficient supply and handover of equipment to service users.
- Typing up of notes, filing, scanning and other admin tasks as required
- Manage a stock of accessories at the depots, ready for issue on day of appointment
- Prepare all equipment for therapists' appointments each day and return un-used equipment to stock
- Update the clinical and equipment records on the database as required
- You may be required to assist with service user assessments in clinic on occasion
- Sharing the responsibility of ensuring electronically held data is clean, relevant and accurate
- Safeguard at all times the children, young people and vulnerable adults with whom the service comes into contact
To be considered for this role you must:
- Be HCPC registered
- Have previous experience working within a similar role
