Opened in October 2015, Hilton London Bankside represents the next generation of design-led Hilton Hotels. Each part of the property has been carefully created to reflect the fascinating history and ambiance of the surrounding area, combining the authentic urban grittiness and polished contemporary design.
Set in the heart of Bankside, just steps from some of London's most famous landmarks such as Tate Modern, Borough Market and The Shard, Hilton London Bankside is home to 292 stunning guest rooms including 25 bespoke suites which offer breathtaking views of the city skyline. The hotel also includes one beautiful penthouse apartment which boasts its own private roof terrace, a 100m2 entertainment area and views across the London skyline. In addition, the hotel brings a new neighbourhood eatery, OXBO Bankside to the area, alongside The Distillery, a cool and casual bar.
The hotel also features Bankside's largest and most exquisite Ballroom accommodating up to 700 guests theatre style or 500 in a banquet setting. With a private entrance, a 6-metre high ceiling, dramatic chandeliers, a balcony and sweeping marble staircase leading to the Bankside Ballroom, this is a spectacular venue for any grand celebration, fashion show, awards ceremony or corporate event.
Job Description
Responsible for maintaining the high level of cleanliness and good order of all assigned areas both public and back of house to create a pleasant environment for our guests and our team in line with the Hilton Bankside service standards
- Clean designated public areas of the hotel to required standards and by required deadlines during overnight.
- Complete regular cleaning routines
- Vacuum, mop floors, and clean windows
- Dust and polish furniture and re-stock and clean equipment used.
- Replace stock of supplies, such as soap, toilet rolls, tissues etc.
- Re-stock and clean equipment used.
- Attend and provide input at housekeeping meetings. Act on any special instructions and pass on relevant information.
- Responsible for all keys in possession.
- Report any maintenance defects or anything which may be considered a Health & Safety hazard.
- Perform related duties and special projects, which may be assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Housekeeping Manager
- Be part of fire marshal during the night-time
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Required physical mobility and stamina.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Well presentable with good spoken English.
- Ability to work and interact well as part of a team.
- Ability to see projects through from start to finish managing time and tasks effectively.
- Work well under pressure with good attention to details

Role in our Family
The key purpose of your role is to maintain impeccable levels of cleanliness and upkeep in all lobbies and public facilities (such as lobby restrooms, telephone area, the front desk, and offices) in a neat and clean condition. The Public Area Attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems.
