This role will be project focused, delivering critical programmes with EDF for the Hinkley Point C project, the successful outcome of which is crucial for the UK infrastructure. We consider this to be a unique opportunity within Rolls-Royce to be involved in the design, procure, manufacture, construction and commissioning of a large complex ‘turnkey’ project.
You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle and play a pivotal role, delivering right through to the successful handover to the client. This is a chance to work closely with stakeholders at all levels internally as well as externally. What you’ll be doing:
You will be reporting to the Programme Manager Civil Nuclear and as a Project Manager you will be responsible for:
- Day-to-day project management of all Civil Nuclear activities, (excluding DS+S led activities).
- Maintaining and developing effective project management processes within the Civil Nuclear business and delivering the approved scope of work in accordance with specified objectives.
- Taking action in order to ensure the Civil Nuclear contracts meet business and customer requirements on delivery, quality, cost, profit, turnover and cash, such as confirming and acquiring the means to achieve customer requirements and developing and communicating the scope and specifications for work change.
- Preparing Project Management Plans and developing detailed plans, budgets and statements of work to meet the overall project objectives after which you will communicate the plan and budget for delivering the work on time and manage project cost and implement and maintain Risk Management in accordance with the Civil Nuclear Risk Management Plan.

- You will have demonstrable experience in a relevant discipline, preferably on project work (either within an Integrated Programme Team, or functionally based).
- You should have coupled with experience in the application of specific project management processes (e.g. cost or scope management).
- You will have sound knowledge of project management processes and good knowledge of the project control process.
- You will have a good understanding of SAP IPM and ideally will have completed SAP training in a CAM and/or PM role.
