The Role
Sr Manager iPMO Intake and Governance, you will be a key member of the Service Delivery implementation Program Management Office (iPMO) leadership team and will influence the broader strategic and operational needs within the iPMO. This position owns and delivers the outcomes for our project and program intake as well as governance structure for delivery of our customer paid for Project Management services under the Implementation Management Services product for all Enterprise and Public Sector customer segments. You and your team will manage, run enhance and optimize the iPMO Program and Project intake processes, communication, and engagement with cross functional stakeholders in support of delivering the required outcomes to prepare our organization to successfully deliver. Will provide program leadership for the critical Project and Program Intake and Governance efforts for the organization.
As Sr Manager iPMO Intake and Governance, you will be responsible for managing the planning and execution of the intake and program governance consulting for work currently underway as well as new incoming work.
Key success factors for this role are a proven track record and passion for leading and delivering successful Public Sector and Enterprise Program(s) and Project(s) on-time, on-budget and to scope specifications achieving a high level of positive customer expereince results. Experience in Public Sector procurement and managing projects in adherence with Federal, State and Local government contractual requirements is required for the role. This is a Senior Manager of role managing a team of managers and individual contributors to achieve the expected outcomes, including a matrix management environment where strong leadership, training and mentoring of less experienced team members as direct reports is required.
The Main Responsibilities
Ensure that multiple projects within your program of iPMO Intake and Governance are on schedule, high quality, within budget, and meet the measures of success (MOS) and the high-level achievements (HLA).- Setup governance required for successful execution of our iPMO programs to support their objective to be delivered on time.
- Manage and track different aspects of the Intake and Governance Program such as technical/functional changes to scope, delivery of Key Performance Indicators, training program for your team and partnership in support of organizational training to be developed and run by our iPMO Center of Excellence team, full adoption of delivery package program in partnership with functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with iPMO COE and Digital Transformation teams, Product and Project teams to synthesize various process gaps as seen during intake and delivery package creation for stakeholders and leadership.
- Become a trusted advisor for the cross-functional teams facilitating meetings to anticipate and remove roadblocks, identify, and track dependencies, and prioritize scope associated with our IMS product and you Intake and Governance responsibilities.
- Responsible for value-based iPMO Intake and Governance program reporting, status reporting, tracking program interdependencies, and actively manage risks/issues.
- Partner with iPMO COE for their development and automation where possible of data, analytics and reporting needed for your team.
- Maintain knowledge in several of the following: Lumen Service Delivery Program and Project Management processes, teams, and tools. IMS product intake and quoting processes, IMS solution creation, development of iPMO Program and Project delivery packages and requirements management.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant Public Sector Program and Project Management experience OR
- Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years’ experience
- In absence of a degree, 15 years of relevant experience is required
- Experience supporting technical solution implementations
- Project and program management expertise and experience
- Effective communication and presentation skills to senior and executive level leadership (verbal and written).
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- PMI Project and Program Management certifications
- Expertise in Microsoft Project
- Candidate must be a U.S Citizen.
