Job description
Salary & OTE: £55,000 basic & £85,000 on target earnings (uncapped), plus a company car.
Hours: Monday to Saturday (5 days), 8:30am to 6pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and refine new and used vehicle sales, ensuring all sales departments achieve profit targets, maintain margins and control expenses as detailed in budgets and business plans.
- Maximise the sales and profitability of vehicles and associated products through the satisfaction and retention of customers.
- Leading, coaching and supporting an established sales team, to drive a successful business strategy.
- Create an environment where the department and its staff progress and excel.
- Ensure cost-effective utilisation of showroom and forecourt sales space.
- Maximise sales of financial and insurance products, added value items, extras and accessories.
- Monitor advertising and all forms of marketing to ensure that it provides best value for money.
- Formulate sales targets for all sales executives and ensure that these are achieved.
- Ensure that customer complaints are investigated and promptly resolved.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- As our BMW General Sales Manager you will be able to demonstrate at least 2 years of successful performance as a manager within an automotive Sales division.
- You will be a motivational, influential and proactive leader.
- You will have the ability to create a workplace environment and culture that allows staff to develop and excel to their full potential whilst driving them to achieve defined group targets and standards.
- You will have the ability to utilise your problem solving and exceptional interpersonal skills to overcome difficult situations successfully.
