Project Manager - Bournemouth - 6 months contract - Hybrid - PAYE

We are seeking a Project Manager with business analysis experience, having worked in the financial services industry, to join JP Morgan in Bournemouth on an initial 6 months contract.

This is an opportunity to join the Data and Analytics team which is accountable for the timely execution of technology & analytics projects across Network Management and UK Outsourcing so having experience of both project management and business analysis is key.

Network Management, CASS & UK Outsourcing is a global function within Digital & Platform Services (DPS) of the CIB. This role resides within Network Management which is responsible for managing J.P. Morgan’s network of agent banks and financial market infrastructures (FMIs) ensuring they meet the firm’s requirements for oversight of cash and securities services for principal and client activities. The network of providers includes banks, sub custodians, payment systems, central counterparties, securities depositories, and cheque clearing systems. While the group resides within the CIB, it supports multiple J.P. Morgan’s lines of business (LOBs) including Corporate & Investment Bank (Global Markets; Securities Services; Wholesale Payments), Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Bank and Consumer & Community Banking.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strong project management & business analysis skills with track record of consistent execution
  • Defining problem statements, gathering & defining requirements, and prioritizing delivery in partnership with the Operations and Technology teams
  • Managing, tracking and reporting to management the Project delivery from initiation through scope, requirements, build, testing, operational readiness and implementation
  • Management, escalation and mitigation of risks, issues and dependencies
  • Communicate with partners to document business requirements, both functional and non-functional by way of stories, use cases and business process flows
  • Partner with Technology to test and deliver working code based on business requirements.
  • Review all requirements within the regular business analyst peer review forum, actively engage and support others to drive strong outcomes
  • Create high quality test plans & user guides
  • Be prepared to raise risks, issues and concerns to project managers and management
  • Present information back to stakeholders, demo functionality and support training of user base

Key Qualification & Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver work of a high standard, to tight timelines
  • Proactive business process reengineering experience, a tenacity to drive to root cause of issues and the ability to lead efforts to define and implement creative solutions
  • Experience of working as part of an agile development team
  • Attention to detail with the ability to succinctly communicate requirements
  • Evidence of strong investigative skills, problem solving & process re-engineering skills; able to see issues at both a high-level and in detail
  • Ability to interpret issues raised, and prioritize to key stakeholders regarding resolution plans and expectations
  • Ability to consistently deliver results with little direct supervision knowing when to seek assistance or escalate
  • Ability to define processes and use of data across operational flows
  • Strong team player who can build and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels and functions in a collaborative manner

*Please note that this role will be working on a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home. When working from home you'll require your own PC/Laptop.*

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: £400.00-£500.00 per day
