Project Manager

Reporting to the Head of Business Change, Transformation & Optimisation, UK Transformation, Risk & Compliance, the Project Manager will join a World Class change organisation which is recognised as market leading, delivering change into the UK Bank
You will be aligned to Risk & Compliance Transformation team, which supports the execution of Change the Bank initiatives on behalf of the Risk and Compliance function, within HSBC UK. Global Risk & Compliance has responsibility for risk management covering retail and wholesale credit, market trading and treasury, operations, security and fraud risk, climate, risk models and risk strategy together with financial crime and compliance. This is done in support of HSBC’s regions and global lines of business.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, mobilising, and directing projects of medium to high complexity and scale, end to end delivery of a single project, cluster projects or workstream of a larger project
- Proactively monitoring project execution to effectively identify risks/issues/dependencies as they arise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Taking ownership of critical issues and ensures resolution within agreed timescales and implement mitigating plans against identified risks and issues. Escalate when needed.
- Collaborating and building positive stakeholder relationships, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan
- Analysing management reports, and deriving insight to drive the right business decisions
- Managing change and implementation to ensure the change lands well and sticks, contributing to benefits realisation
- Delivering change in accordance with Group governance models and Transformation frameworks
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience of delivery of projects of medium to high complexity and scale
- Knowledge of the application of the change framework
- Proficient in Clarity
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical matters effectively with senior leaders and business sponsors.
- Sets the pace and operating rhythm, driving a culture of achievement and ensures pace by identifying and removing barriers to project success.
- Experience of Agile ways of working desired.
