The Project
As the Project Manager, reporting into the Contracts Manager your overall objective will be to organise and manage the delivery of multiple projects in-line with the contract requirement. You will manage a project team whilst ensuring compliance with quality and H&S standards, meeting programme timescales, engaging with supply chain and achieving budget and satisfaction targets. Essential and Desirable Criteria
Essential: • Proven track record in delivering and managing multiple projects, particularly through subcontract and supply chain arrangements. • Ability to read interpret and understand programmes, drawings, schedules and specifications. • Proven ability to work to and develop operating procedures. • Full working knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation including but not restricted to the CDM regulations • Excellent Leadership, management and team development skills with particular experience of leading a team of project & site managers • IT skills including MS office and programming software • Strong client liaison and communication skills. • A valid CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate • Strong understanding of construction operations and related sectors. • Minimum level 4 qualification (NVQ4 or HNC) • Role Appropriate CSCS card • First Aid at work certificate • Valid driver’s license Desirable: • Scaffold inspection • Exposure to financial information including P&L • Understanding of Partnering, NEC option A & option C, • Relevant degree Other Requirements • Experience of PDA or Tablet use • ‘Can do’ attitude • Proactive • Professional approach with high standards • Willingness to challenge the norm and seek improvement • Motivational leader • Minimum level 4 qualification (NVQ4 or HNC) Fortem embraces diversity in the workplace and encourages applications from all sectors of the community.
