We are currently recruiting for a temporary Project Coordinator for a Headington based Oxford University Department, starting asap on a full-time basis for 12 weeks initially.
Duties:
- Management of the planning and running of the VALIDATE Network, assisting with the day-to-day running of the Network, its activities and admin
- Coordination of VALIDATE grant calls, processing applications and outcomes
- Coordination of Network membership, processing new membership applications and responding to queries from members
- Assisting the Communications and Events Coordinator with the delivery of virtual and in-person events, including the Annual Meetings, public outreach, and workshops
- Assisting the Communications and Events Coordinator with communications as needed, particularly proof-reading (e.g. social media, the VALIDATE website, newsletters)
- Arrangement of equipment shipments to LMIC members
- Coordination of bimonthly Network Management Board meetings
- Management of VALIDATE grants, paying invoices, assisting with information gathering for funder reports, and liaising with the departments finance teams as required. Assisting with future grant applications

Experience at Oxford University would be preferable and experience with Oracle R12 training
Essential selection criteria
- A degree, ideally in Biology or another relevant subject
- Experience of project coordination
- Quick and efficient worker, happy in a fast-paced work environment
- Quick learner
- Proactive, with critical thinking ability and good problem-solving skills
- Highly organised with an ability to prioritise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
