The opportunity
We are currently looking for a Project Controls Change Assistant to work within the PMO across the Manchester Airport Transformation programme. Reporting to the Change Manager this role will offer flexible working, but ideally, we are looking for someone to work on site 2/3 days per week within the client and project delivery environment.
Project: Phase 2 of Manchester Airport’s Terminal Transformation Programme consists of a major redevelopment of Terminal 2 as part of a £400m facelift that will see it equipped for growth after the pandemic. Mace is engaged as the Construction Manager for Manchester Airport and we have a growing team engaged on this programme, guiding the client through the design, procurement and construction phases.
This role is part of the new build Pier 2 team that is focused on the £100m construction of a new aircraft pier using DfMA techniques, connected to Terminal 2. Due to commence on site in early 2023, the works continue through to 2024, in readiness for a 2025 opening.
Embedded within the PMO the role will be supporting the clients (Manchester Airport Group) strategic investment plan Phase 2 programme of works to redevelop, enhance and expand Terminal 2.
The Change Assistant will be responsible for supporting and delivering the overall change management process across the programme, via the projects that form the overall ManTP programme. This will involve active engage with other PMO functions, delivery partners both internal and external to Mace, plus client (MAG) stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support and Assist the Change Manager in the development, control, analysis and reporting of the ManTP change control process.
- Active support and engagement in the facilitation & execution of change management reviews at programme and project levels.
- Undertake analysis and assessment of all project / programme change through its full lifecycle
- Active engagement of client and programme/project delivery stakeholders
Experience Required
- Experience of interpreting and analysing large datasets through management toolsets.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present information and communicate to individuals at all levels of an organisation, with outstanding organisational skills, capable of working within multiple projects and key timelines.
