About the Trust
George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust provides a range of elective, non-elective, surgical, medical, women’s, children’s, diagnostic and therapeutic services to a population of more than 300,000 people. The hospital opened in 1948.
The hub of the Trust is located on the outskirts of Nuneaton and its services cover a large footprint, including north Warwickshire, south west Leicestershire, and north Coventry.
The Trust also provides a range of community services, delivered across Coventry, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire. These include sexual health and community dentistry services for the whole of Warwickshire as well as hosting the Blue-Sky Sexual Assault Referral Centre.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· In conjunction with the AD PMO, contribute to the development of project plans.
· Manage assigned PMO work through to completion.
· Support the management of projects including contributing to the development of business cases, Pids, highlight reports, risk registers, benefits realisation, and contingency plans.
· Report through agreed reporting lines on the Project's progress through highlight reports and stage assessments
· Attend internal and external meetings and working groups, relevant to the role, contributing to the meetings and bring back key actions and points for discussion with AD of PMO.
· Monitor associated project costs.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· Project management experience
· Previous NHS experience
- Demonstrate evidence of assessing risk and problem solving whilst delivering objectives within challenging timescales.
