This role sits in the People Platform, working in partnership with leaders in People and Places , leading diverse multi-disciplinary teams of business, technology and data experts, accountable for the delivery of both transformational and core operational changes. In this role you'll be responsible for delivering key components of our People and Places strategy. Day to day you’ll be; Delivering Value in the Skills Lab, working in Partnership with P&P colleagues, leading agile squads & teams, understanding strengths & weaknesses & balancing skills & capabilities to realise Lab vision. Delivering initiatives against often evolving Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) Designing products & services to contribute to the organisation and its customers. Ensuring that adequate focus is placed on burning down technical debt and prioritising defect fixing in production over new features. Ensure that the non-functional elements of products are considered (robustness, performance, scalability, usability, extensibility, ease to maintain and configure, ease of integration etc.) Encouraging teams to rapidly test new capability & learn to unlock value through MVP release. What you’ll need You'll need to be an excellent communicator, be highly motivated and have a passion for working with people and technology. You'll use your experience in HR / People fields working across the HR lifecycle, and current knowledge of technology eco-systems in HR, people management practices and trends to support People and Places with prioritisation. Essentials; Experience of Skills/ Skills technologies (LXP) and be familiar with the current challenges. Product Owner/ Delivery Lead with experience of leading teams using both Agile and Waterfall change frameworks. An awareness of how to adopt the right methodology to meet requirements, driving forward a clear product vision, shaping and managing product backlogs with a focus on achieving agreed outcomes and deliverables. Conceptualising technical & operational solutions using in-house and 3rd party software products to solve business problems. Using data and insights to build business cases to secure investment funding. Delivering complex initiatives within budget and time constraint & the ability to shape & run insightful stakeholder sessions (e.g., Senior Working Groups) And any experience of these would be really useful Tackling complex problems and breaking them out into a roadmap of viable solutions. An ability to shape and inspire your teams to deliver exceptional outcomes & experiences A technical & analytical mentality with strong data skills & the ability to translate complex information into punchy & insightful presentations.
