Job description
Bay Path University seeks candidates for a part-time faculty position in the Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership program. The candidate will have educational research methodology teaching and coaching experience along with the academic and practical experience required to support a quickly growing EdD in Educational Leadership program. The candidate will teach a minimum of four online courses annually as assigned quarterly. In addition, the candidate will provide action research dissertation advisement as well as research methods consulting for students and faculty.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Teach a minimum of four (4) courses (12 credits) annually to include online graduate courses.
- Provide dissertation advisement for a small group of doctoral students.
- Provide periodic workshops on research methods and related topics.
- Provide research methods consultation to faculty and doctoral students.
- Work collaboratively with other EdD faculty.
- Stay current with best practices in teaching and learning, especially online teaching.
- Incorporate technology to enhance student learning.
Job Requirements:
- PhD or EdD in related field from an accredited institution is required.
- Research methodology teaching and coaching experience is required (with a particular focus on qualitative methods).
- The candidate will have educational research methodology teaching and coaching experience (with a particular depth of experience with qualitative research methods).
- Online teaching experience on the graduate school level; preferably in an accelerated format.
- Curriculum review and development experience in related field.
- Experience in student and career advising.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and in alignment with the Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations.
- Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
