We are delighted to be opening up a brand new facility based at Lyons Park Coventry that will be fully operational in Q2 2023. This is an excellent opportunity for you to join us in this exciting journey from the outset.
We are looking to employ around 20 operatives initially commencing in February and March. We will have further positions available from April into May.
Job Purpose
To work as a member of the production team and provide consistently high quality products on time and to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, both internal and external. Also to comply with Health and Safety and other associated legislation. The position will involve working 12 hour shifts and will require nights and weekend working.
Job Requirements
Carry out production activities to a consistently high quality standard.
Keep work area clean and tidy at all times and complete 5S workplace organisation walks.
Maintain all required paperwork to company standards.
Quality Conformance- ensure adherence to quality standard for all production during the shift, identify any issues / concerns that could be a risk to product integrity
Compliance to audit requirements, company policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and adhere to the Company’s Hygiene policy and procedures.
Adhere to Health & Safety at Work regulations and to the Safe Systems of Work in your own department and Bakery as required.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
Comply with the Company’s Equal Opportunities Policy and accept responsibility for personal involvement in the practical application of this policy and avoidance of all forms of discrimination and harassment in the work place.
Carry out any other duties required.
Always work in a safe manner with Health and Safety at work regulations.
Call out and liaise with Engineers to resolve any breakdown issues
Involvement in scheduled line asset care activities.

Skills/Experience
experience gained in a bakery or fast paced manufacturing environment
IT literate, good working knowledge of desktop software, Microsoft packages
Good standard of literacy and numeracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines/ targets
Behavioural Competencies:

Good attention to detail and compliance with Quality standards and operating procedures
Enthusiastic and energetic approach to workload
Proactive and confident – able to adapt to new requirements

Pay rate starting from £12.85 per hour plus shift premiums for night working and overtime premiums.
