Job Description: Production Operative
Our manufacturing department is looking to fill a Production Operative vacancy. This role is based in Balliol Business Park (NE12 8EW), working Mon - Thurs 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00, Fri 06:00 – 12:00 / 12:00 – 18:00 (38 hours per week). There is also a 6am-6pm, Fri-Sun (36 hours per week) shift available. The purpose of this role is to provide operational and packaging services to the factory manufacturing team.
The key duties and responsibilities of this role are to:
- Packing of assembled products into boxes and palletising
- Quality checking and labelling of finished products
- Ensuring all products meet the specification requirements
- Operating and running machinery on production lines
- Adhering to food safety, health and safety and all other manufacturing requirements
- Working towards achieving the business KPI’s
- Ensuring all work instructions and company procedures are adhered to
- Completing all necessary paperwork, data capturing and accurate reporting
- Performing some manual handling duties
- Other reasonable ad hoc tasks
The key skills for this role are:
- Previous food manufacturing experience (desirable but not essential)
- Good level of English, both written and verbal
- Excellent attendance and timekeeping
- Attention to detail
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Ability to work well as part of a team
