Production Manager
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to work at our busy facility in Dukinfield. You will take the lead to ensure that production runs smoothly in order to meet our cost, delivery and quality commitments to our customers.

Your Responsibilities
- Supervise all production activity to meet customer requirements as part of the on time delivery performance, costs and timelines
- Liaise with Internal Sales to agree delivery requirements
- Maintain and manage inventory and resource to support planned output activity
- Manage and investigate all QESH issues in line with cost of non-quality (CONQ) requirements and accident & incident (AI) reporting
- Manage and improve the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety (QESH) profile within the production area in line with legal compliance and the integrated management system; thus to be measured through the following KPIs):
- Non-Conformance Report (NCR) Management and investigation
- KPIs on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management, control and reporting
- CAPA (corrective and preventative actions) activity as part of the IMS continuous improvement requirements
- QESH objectives and compliance to the Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Customer feedback and Continuous Improvement activity
- Support and assist with all aspects of remedial actions regarding site management and infrastructure as requested
- Compile monthly data reports to ensure suitable monitoring and measurement of KPIs
- Ensure management and development of direct reports to achieve results
Your Profile
- Ideally time served apprenticeship in any engineering discipline or a qualification in mechanical engineering.
- IOSH qualification would be beneficial
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- SAP (or other ERP system) knowledge would also be ideal.
- Previous supervisory experience
- Minimum 3 years Engineering background and/or experience in technical or mechanical production environment
- 5S and lean implementation/management
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety and understanding of the importance of EH&S in the workplace (i.e. ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001)
