Job description
We are urgently recruiting a Production Team Leader to work for a production company in Bolton.
Shift work of 6-2pm / 2pm-10pm/10pm-6am - must be available to work all shifts on a weekly rotation basis
Job Purpose
To manufacture and test parts or products using manual and automated equipment, to perform other processes as required, Quality checks / Machine checks and record results, carry out repairs/adjustments as required.
Scope of Job 1 Start-Up To prepare parts, jigs, tools and measuring equipment and set up equipment within your process.
2 Standard Operations To assemble within specification and in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
3 Quality Checks Adjust and check products in-process throughout operation.
4 Basic Adjustments To adjust equipment and inspect it to ensure running correctly, performing repair if necessary.
5 Basic PM To assist, correct and repair any defect and generally maintain machine to required standard. Typical Knowledge & Skills Good technical aptitude. Knowledge of manufacturing environments and processes, preferably automotive.
Must be able to complete Introduction & Experience Skill Block levels.
Typical Qualifications and Previous Experience Secondary Education Level (at least)
Dimensions; Organisational Level & Limits of Authority Operates in line with defined standards, following processes (SOPs) to ensure assembly line runs efficiently. Making modification / repairs to machines within level trained / approved.
Flexible across all machines / production lines within scope trained.
Reports to Production Team Leader on day-to-day basis, with remainder of management tasks
Relevant experience in assembly type work would be beneficial, ideally within the automotive industry.
