An exciting opportunity to join an established Tier 1 Automotive supplier who are growing due to demand in the business. As a Production Engineer you will work from concept to delivery to improve processes for the production of metal components.

Skills & Experience of a Production Engineer:
- Minimum HND in an Engineering discipline.
- Process improvement experience such as PFMEA, Kaizen & Poka Yoke.
- Experience of PLC programming/fault finding.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, bending or presses in an Automotive or high-volume environment.
- NPI management from concept to production.
Responsibilities of a Production Engineer:
- New Product Introduction.
- Preparation of process design estimates and solutions.
- Complete production and design feasibility studies.
- Support surrounding departments in the investigation, analysis and rectification of customer concerns.
- Deployment of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Jigs and fixture concept design.
- Develop process documentation for APQP process.
- Trial equipment and buy-off at suppliers.
- Identify improvement projects, especially new cost reduction projects.
- Manage change through teamwork and continuous improvement activities.
- Drive improvement projects for scrap and OEE onsite.
