MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Ensure day to day orders and projects are set up and managed from order placement through to full production to meet the customers’ delivery schedules.

KEY JOB OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES:

• Ensure day to day orders and projects are led and fulfilled from order to full production
• Main point of contact for customers, ensuring liaisons to manage customer requirements and expectations including variations from original order
• Reviewing customer order requirements against quotation
• Inputting manufacturing information into our operating system to generate route cards
• Generating process manufacturing drawings
• Raising purchase order requisitions and expediting suppliers
• Liaising with internal departments and customers to resolve queries and expedite progress
• Provide technically sound engineering solutions to achieve effective results and to resolve any potential problems or issues.
• Prepare accurate timelines for all aspect of each order and project
• Develop a commercial awareness of customers handled
• To progress the manufacture of all parts required to schedule
• Achieve On Time in Full requirements

Health and Safety Responsibilities of Project Engineers:

• Read and understand the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Occupational Health and Safety Management System
• Liaise with customers regarding OH&S matters

• Read and understand the Occupational Health and Safety Policy Statement
• Work safely and responsibly
• Wear the protective equipment provided in the correct manner
• Report any incident to your Manager that may or has led to injury
• Adhere to company procedures securing a safe workplace
• Assist in the investigation of incidents and accidents with the objective of introducing preventative measures

Other responsibilities:

• To assist in any areas of the Company as required from time to time, to ensure the smooth running of the operation and to meet customer requirements.

Knowledge & skills required:

• Engineering experience, ideally within laser cut and fold environment.
• Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and ERP manufacturing systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively both within the company and with external customers.
