This role is your opportunity to play a key role in leading the industry through the transition to Net Zero, make a significant impact to the future of our business and help in the fight against climate change Job Description As a Product Manager, you are responsible for delivering and managing a future-proof product portfolio strategy for your responsible product categories. You manage the technical and economic performance of the assigned product portfolio over the complete lifecycle and work cross-functionally with business wide stakeholders, to further strengthen Bosch in your product category. Responsible Product categories: Range of roles covering products from both core and diversified business areas e.g.: Domestic Boilers, Commercial Solutions, Heat Pumps, Hybrid Systems & HIUs (Heat Networks) Product Concept & Specification Development Utilise your expertise in the UK heating market or Product Management techniques and work alongside market experts within the business to develop market leading product specifications, tailored to the UK market and specific customer needs. Conduct market & customer research, including both technical and commercial competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps and USP's. Initiate and execute user experience (UX) activity to validate product concepts, features & benefits. Understand relevant regulations and standards for responsible product groups and factor them into your product specifications Product Development Project Team Member Represent the Product Management function within product development projects. Develop requirements and insights to ensure the right product is delivered at the right quality and price position for the target market. Ensure features, benefits and USPs, and the advantage they bring, are communicated throughout the organisation and to key customer groups Assist in co-ordination new product introductions with all relevant departments Product Life-cycle Management: Co-ordinate relevant functions to define and execute ongoing overarching product strategy comprising Product, Price, Place & Promotion for category. Continuously review the product portfolio performance to ensure portfolio remains relevant, giving consideration to price development, market trends, legislative drivers, customer needs & competitors' activities. Make relevant changes to your product range including phase out of products deemed no longer relevant or competitive. ADDITIONAL TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent the company within relevant industry groups and cooperate with certification bodies Support all external facing departments in communication of responsible product strategy (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Training, Technical Services) Provide market side intelligence to interfacing development functions in support of their greater understanding of the UK market and its customer needs. Contribute to the ongoing development of Product Management Tools and Processes. Qualifications Educated to degree level in relevant field (e.g. Product Marketing, Engineering) or equivalent, preferable though not essential Experience within UK Heating industry Experience working within Product Management, Business Development or Marketing functions Communication Exceptional and convincing communication skills across hierarchy levels. Ability to develop new contacts. Effectively communicating with distributed and international project/working teams is essential. You must be able to convey the intricacies of both the product and systems they integrate into in a meaningful manner to a diverse audience. Technical Acumen Good understanding of product and system integration, installation, and service practice of relevant product group. Competent in Regulation and Standards concerning installation and specification. Expertise in Product Management tools & techniques that can be applied to relevant product groups. Planning & Organising Ambition to Lead. Advanced project management and prioritisation skills. Delegation. Pro-active and energetic in actions. Gives feedback. Financial & Commercial Acumen Good grasp of price management techniques and business modelling tools. Understanding of key financial methodology. Problem solving & Analysis Ability to think strategically. Customer and market focused. Can relay research findings and data in a concise and meaningful manner to diverse audiences. Demonstrates advanced conflict management skills.
