We are looking for an established, highly motivated and passionate Product Assistant to join our in-house “Own Brand” Design Centre team at Footasylum. We are home to multiple brands across men’s, women’s, kid’s and accessories.
This Role gives great opportunity to the right candidate to work on Footasylum’s “own brands” such as Zavetti Canada, KWD, Alessandro Zavetti and many more. This role has excellent progression opportunities.
About You
The successful candidate should have at least 2 years in apparel/fabric sourcing & development experience on both woven and knitwear. You should have knowledge of apparel critical path in terms of lead time and costing awareness and be proficient in Excel. Experience working with EU and South Asia offshore suppliers is preferable.

The Team functions as a part of the larger Design Centre and we work extremely closely with Apparel Design, Buying and Merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Support Product and Sourcing manager on liaising with all suppliers across certain own brand products groups and ranges to negotiating cost prices, meeting target costs prices and ensuring required margin maintained.
- Responsible for Product line file maintenance to ensure all styles, costing, PO status are most updated.
- Support Product and Sourcing manager for creating internal planners for certain brands and responsible to ensure all POs with the cost price, retail price and ex-factory dates are correctly issued and tracked
- Support factory critical paths maintenance on data collection
- Managing and tracking own brand purchase orders, amending where necessary
- To liaise closely with Suppliers to monitor the development proto sample status for the brands/projects
- Attend Trade Meetings for the business when necessary
- Engage to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions including IT, eCommerce, Design, studio, Marketing and Analytics, as well as third parties
- Self-motivated and have good time management with the ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines and delivers results within specified time frames. Ability to react quickly to changing demands and priorities
- Supporting the team in day-to-day admin and ad-hoc duties
- Supporting on the garment factory and fabric sourcing with new supplier and factories in Far East, Asia and Europe according to the brand sourcing strategy – this will require travel
- Control the material master summary and cross costing exercise & material approval.
- Attending U.K and overseas Fabric trade shows to source new fabrics and suppliers alongside the Design Team - this will require travel
