Type: Freelance Contract | Initial 3 months | Immediate start

Experience: 3+ Years’ Industry related experience
Rate: £200-240 per day depending on experience

At Makematic, we make short-form educational content that is engaging, memorable and impactful.
We will have vacancies for a couple producers for an upcoming project in late August. The ideal Producer candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of industry experience at this level, a solid knowledge of story, with hands-on knowledge of online video creation and a passion for filmmaking.
We’d particularly like to hear from candidates experienced in producing educational content, animation content, those with experience producing for an international audience, and candidates with an understanding of remote video production. Speaking multiple languages is a plus- we will be prioritising multilingual producers for one of the open roles.
As a Producer with Makematic, you’ll take each project through all aspects of production– from development concepts and instructional design, through to script-writing, producing, editing and delivering the final pieces. While you’ll be under the experienced guidance of a Series/Executive Producer, you will be expected to manage your project’s schedule and budget.

Responsibilities:
- Managing the production workflow from concept to delivery
- Developing creative treatments and owning the creative vision for every project
- Directing and managing shoots (sometimes remotely)
- Directly managing your project team including Assistant Producer, Animators, Editors and expert contributors
- Working with our partners' to convey their brand correctly
- Working with our Educational department to create amazing scripts
- Liaising directly with partners and contributors in multiple time zones
- Ensuring content is fully compliant with copyright, 3rd party agreements, Risk Assessments and Health & Safety laws
- Ensuring production and post-paperwork is accurate and delivered on time
- Accurate licensing agreements for all content
Essential Criteria:
- Experience at this level
- Basic PremierPro Skills
- Experience Producing factual content, preferably for an American audience
- Excellent client relation skills
- Savvy knowledge of online video creation
- Detailed knowledge of production workflows
- Ability to stick to a budget & schedule
- Proven script-writing ability (preferably short-form)
- Able to travel internationally if required
- Fully capable of working remotely– with sufficient broadband access
Desirable:
- Experience Producing Animation
- Experience Producing educational content, preferably for an American audience
- After Effects Ability
- Experience pitching creative concepts and getting buy-in for your ideas
- Experience in the education sector
- Background in factual production
- Multilingual
