Job description

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our technical support team in Nottingham. You will have a BSc or MSc degree in Life Sciences, Biochemical, Bioprocessing or Chemical Engineering and previous production/manufacturing experience of working to cGMP in a biotechnology or biopharmaceutical environment.

If so, this is a great opportunity for a Process Engineer to join the technical support team within Albumedix to support large – scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing of recombinant human albumin products and implement process improvements related to yield, efficiency and robustness. The site is expanding so it’s a great time to join the team to further your career and be involved in new projects and developments ahead.

This role is based on site in central Nottingham and the site is easy to get to, being only a short walk from the train station and tram stop.

What you will accomplish together with us

  • Provide technical support for biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Ensure that manufacturing processes operate in compliance with cGMP. Preparation and modification of production procedures, maintain Manufacturing Formulae.

  • Perform and/or direct formal investigations of non-routine events or deviations raised through the company’s Quality systems. Report writing, identification and implementation of appropriate corrective actions.

  • Perform and/or direct the trending and review of batch process data and contribute to continued process verification.

  • Identification of process optimisation activities and management of their implementation.

  • Provide technical support to capacity expansion projects.

  • Hands-on equipment/process commissioning and validation support.

  • Provide process engineering input into facility design, modification, and optimisation.

  • Support technology transfer projects for new products and/or processes.

  • Project management of technology transfer, procurement, process optimisation and small engineering projects.

  • Support to chromatography matrix procurement and replacement, chromatography column packing, qualification, and performance assessment activities.

  • Provide occasional on-call support and out of hours support where required, according to business needs.

What will convince us
