Due to significant growth in recent years, we are actively recruiting for a Production Operative, who will form a key part of our Production team.

More about the role
The Production Operative is directly responsible to the Production Manager and is an integral part of the Production Team.
Working closely with all members of the Production Team the role involves all aspects of Sign Manufacture & Production.
The Production Operative works according to guidance set out by the Production Manager.
It is important to be able to produce all work in the most time efficient & cost-effective way possible. This must be done through constant monitoring and updating of in-house Systems & procedures.
The role is mainly workshop based however there maybe occasional requirement for Site Work.
Responsibilities
The Production Operative is required to perform the following duties during the different phases of the day-to-day production process:
- Monitoring of the workflow (Monday.com)
- Taking instruction from the Production manager
- Checking Works Order Details prior to Production
- Production of all aspect of Signage using relevant Machinery, Tools & Printers
- Quality Control. Colour & Material Spec check off work against job bag.
- Monitoring of all Stock Materials
- Working on Flexible Shift Rota where necessary.
- Monitoring Health & Safety in the Workshop. Trailing Cables, Eye & Ear Protection, Forklift Movements & Monthly Workshop Checks.
- Responsibility for Workshop Tidiness & Presentation. Bins, Tools, Work Stations & Equipment
- Late Shift Lock Up. All Doors, Windows, Gates, Shutter & Forklift to be secured & Alarm Set
Skills
The Production Operative must have strong multi-tasking abilities, be a good team player and be able to work calmly under pressure and without constant supervision.
The Production Operative needs to be hardworking and efficient and must have excellent organisational and communication skills.
The Production Operative needs a very good understanding of the Production Process, Machinery (Training Given) and of the different phases of production.
Standard hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday but with a possibility of shift working should the need arise.
