We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Healthcare Assistant to join our caring and progressive team in Hawkhurst Community hospital.

Our hospitals are nurse-led and focus on holistic rehabilitation and therapy for people who need extra help to get home, or who are nearing the end of their life

Our inpatient care and management is overseen by a Matron along with a team of registered nurses, healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists rehabilitation assistants, care management staff, a pharmacist and our visiting medical officers.

Healthcare assistants provide care to people as part of a care plan agreed with local nursing teams.

As a healthcare assistant you'll:

  • Work as part of a team to provide care to local patients and families
  • Monitor the quality of care they're receiving
  • Provide clinical, health and personal care for patients under the direction of the nurse in charge.
  • Participate in all aspects, of rehabilitation and therapy in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
Additional Working Pattern: Working a mix of early, late and night shifts across a 7 day roster
