We’re seeking an experienced and dedicated Principal Building Safety Systems Manager to lead and inspire a team of Building Safety Managers and the building safety case development function.
As Principal Building Safety Systems Manager, you’ll oversee the Building Safety Systems team in developing and delivering a Building Safety Management offer and a Safety Case Development Service. We’ll look to you to ensure that Clarion’s higher risk buildings (HRBs) have effective safety management systems in place and adequately structured safety cases that demonstrate that HRBs are safe to occupy. You’ll operate in a multifaceted environment and be able to communicate at a senior level to technical and non-technical stakeholders as well being comfortable operating in a highly scrutinised area of work.
Other key responsibilities will include:-

Ensuring the conditions that provide a comprehensive building safety regime are in place for stakeholders in Clarion’s HRBs

Providing leadership and strategic stakeholder management, with effective communications on building safety issues to; authorities, other Clarion teams, contractors, and residents

Leading on building safety matters relating to the systemic change and readiness for new building safety legislative requirements
To be successful, you’ll need strong leadership skills and a proven track record of managing change at a high level. You’ll already have experience of planning, managing and organising resources within an overall building safety programme management framework and a relevant Degree/ Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management, or relevant Chartered professional membership.
The ability to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communication, negotiating and influencing skills at a high level is also essential for the role.
