The Trainee Stone Sculpture Technician role:
As Sculpture Technician your mission is to become multi-skilled across several key tasks within the stone (Dark Planet) and finishing team, helping where required.

The focus is to create our pebble spherical sculptures which we call The Dark Planet described above and learning the distinctive processes to create them.

Reporting to the Stone and Finishing Team Leader, you will also become involved in working on the finishing stages of our works which will involve shot-blasting, patination, finishing and Crating. Our Finishing team touches every sculpture before it leaves the site ensuring that we excel our customers expectations again and again.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Creating our stone range of sculptures including selecting pebble, slate or other and resin bonding them into position.
+ Shot blasting of our fabricated sculptures prior to finishing to achieve the high levels of quality that our sculptures are known for
+ Patination of our bronze, Brass and Copper sculptures
+ Taping and Un-taping of our polished sculptures
+ Finishing off every David Harber Sculpture
+ Crating of our export pieces
+ Installation assistance
+ Members of the stone and finishing team can be asked to help anywhere in the business and full flexibility to do so is a key requirement of any person joining our small team to ensure we are successful in meeting the high expectations of our valued customers.

About you:
We are looking to offer the right candidate a golden opportunity to become a stone artisan and the chance to build up a variety of skills while working in luxury manufacturing.
We want someone who wants to embrace the opportunity and is not afraid to put in a hard day's work. You be comfortable performing repetitive tasks to whilst keeping a close eye on the detail/

To be successful in this role you will need:
+ An interest in a creative environment with a good visual eye.
+ Preferably completed a Design/ Art course
+ Good attention to detail is vital to this role
+ Good health due to the physical nature of work and amount of manual handling required
+ Quick learner
+ Able to follow processes and complete necessary paperwork.
+ Team player who works effectively with colleagues across all functions
+ Demonstrates energy and positive attitude.
+ Strong desire to make a difference and maintain an ordered environment.
