Due to the retirement of one of our longstanding Practice Nurses an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive and forward thinking practice.

Experience in the Primary Care setting is preferred but training will be given to the successful candidate. Duties will include management of chronic disease clinic, treatment room, cervical smears and health promotion.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy working independently but also as part of a team. Flexibility is essential. The applicant should also have good communication and IT skills together with the ability to prioritise their workload.

  • We are a GMS Practice with a list size of approximately 9,400
  • We have a Telephone Triage System in place and also use e-consult
  • Our clinical team consists of 3 GP Partners, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a Clinical Pharmacist, a Paramedic Practitioner and 2 Nurse Practitioners.
  • We have an excellent Nursing Team involved in all aspects of Chronic Disease Management
  • There are strong links with our Community Nursing Team, Health Visitors Team, First Contact Physiotherapists, Acute Clinical Practitioner and Community Mental Health Teams.
  • Our team includes Practitioners with special interests in Minor Surgery, Contraceptive Implants and IUCD procedures
  • We participate in Medical Student training
  • Paperlight using Vision and Docman
