PR Coordinator, Fragrance & Beauty

Reports to: Head of Press F&B
Contract: Full-time position
Your role @Chanel:
The Public Relations (PR) Coordinator will support the Beauty PR team with administrative tasks and will also help with showcasing and boosting the desirability of our products, using our communication channels. The goal is to facilitate a smooth running of daily operations and success of PR efforts. As one of the first contacts for external media partners, you will promote and safeguard our brand image. We are looking for someone who can tell our story, bring our heritage to life, create excitement, and share our vision.
Our ideal candidate will be a creative PR or communications graduate with strong writing and excellent communication skills, well organised and confident.
What impact you can create at CHANEL:
- As a key member of the press team, you will support the team with execution of local PR initiatives from eventing to daily product seeding to journalists and influencers as part of overall PR strategy
- Support in the management of influencers relations by identifying up and coming talent, brainstorming & monitoring initiatives, and activations
- Help with the coordination of the press/influencer requests in UK – learn the Beauty PR stock system
- Reading print and digital periodicals and marking up of magazines and newspapers where the brand is mentioned
- A sense of ownership of the stockroom, making sure it is tidy and well organised
- Support the UK Public Relations Head of Press on execution and reporting of print, digital, and social media efforts, across all categories – Fragrance, Makeup and Skincare with a strong understanding and interest in both print and digital beauty editorial as well as the social media landscape, specifically in its relation to influential industry people
- Keep calendars and updating and maintaining UK press lists – inclusive of influence, digital, regional, niche, national long lead and short lead titles
- Send global teams in PR recap reports and awards received in our market
- Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions with the PR team in London and Paris
- Oversee the editorial tracking, monitoring, analysing, and evaluating of all UK coverage clipping (print, online and social) of current and upcoming placements. Support the Junior Press Officer in DMR Reporting and DMR analysis, where necessary
- As you will be the first point of contact for all price and image requests, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient, effective, and professional service to all our media partners
- Update the internal online platform, responsible for monthly Best of Press presentation up to date
- Updating and maintaining UK press lists – inclusive of influence, digital, regional, niche, national long lead and short lead titles
- Create project reports for company wide distribution and global PR distribution
- Manage new supplier set up for open doors and ad hoc suppliers
- Work closely with the warehouse to monitor stock & product orders/mailings

- Previous experience in a PR-related position
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Well-organised, able to work with deadlines
- Outgoing and confident
- Ability to prioritise workload, requests, and spontaneous scenarios
- Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround
- Demonstration of being a team-player
- Strong interest for beauty
- Knowledge of DMR and Lefty platforms
