Neural Pathways has a unique opportunity a full-time experienced Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our friendly and supportive North East team.
Neural Pathways is different in that we see clients both in the community and in our own gym that has state of the art technology and as such there is some flexibility to arrange your diary to fit around your home life allowing for a better work life balance and for support to be provided at a time suits the client!
Our clients predominantly have an ongoing medico legal case, but we also work with clients who fund their own rehabilitation. We are known for our client centred values and for offering highly skilled interprofessional rehabilitation. Our therapists are encouraged to think outside of the box, to work innovatively and holistically to deliver life changing sustainable outcomes.
Neural Pathways is an award-winning neuro-therapy service which takes pride in building bespoke rehabilitation programmes for clients. We work with clients with a wide range of neurological conditions including:
- Acquired brain injury
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Stroke
- Neurological Degenerative conditions such as MND and MS
- Polytrauma clients to include orthopaedic injuries
- Upper and lower limb amputees
What you'll be working:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Some flexibility in working hours to suit both the client and you
- Monday to Friday – occasional evenings and weekends
What you'll be doing:
Provide assessment, treatment, and management of challenges to physical abilities
Function as a key therapist to ensure active co-ordination and management of the therapeutic timetables and programmes to achieve the client’s agreed rehabilitation goals
Ensure accurate documentation of assessment, treatment, and outcome measures
Be a great team player and be willing to go that extra mile for your clients and their family
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with people with cognitive impairment and communication difficulties
Liaise with family, carers, and significant others where appropriate to ensure client’s needs are met to a high standard
You will be supported by experienced and skilled senior staff, and have protected training, CPD and peer support time within your job
What you'll have:
Full Driving Licence and car
Must be qualified to BSc or MSc Level
HCPC Registered
Experience of working in a similar environment would be an advantage
Knowledge of the medicolegal system is desirable
