Position: Pharmacy Dispenser

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Dispensing or willing to work towards.

Responsibilities and Opportunities:

As a valued member of our team, you will undertake a variety of exciting responsibilities, including:

  • Issuing stock items and meticulously preparing prescriptions to ensure optimal patient care
  • Collecting prescription charges and diligently checking patient exemption statements for accuracy
  • Operating an efficient stock control system, tailored to meet the dispensary needs, to guarantee uninterrupted supply while minimising wastage
  • Ensuring that all medications are received and stored meticulously in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, ensuring the highest standards of safety
  • Regularly cleaning work surfaces and shelving, upholding impeccable hygiene standards and ensuring all dispensary equipment remains in excellent working order
  • Keeping meticulous and comprehensive records of all dispensing transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Expertly dispensing and carefully verifying repeat prescriptions, displaying exceptional attention to detail
  • Utilising advanced computer systems to maintain up-to-date and precise records
  • Collaborating with General Practitioners and cross-referencing patient records when necessary to ensure appropriateness of medication requests
  • Skillfully addressing patient queries and concerns regarding their prescriptions, providing knowledgeable guidance and support
  • Assisting in conducting thorough stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and optimisation
  • Providing essential coverage during periods of annual leave or sickness, showcasing your adaptability and dedication to the team's success
