We are recruiting at the Lincolnshire Showground for
Front of House.
The Showground is home to whole-site events, concerts, conferences, exhibitions, balls, company training days and awards dinners as well as its flagship event, The Lincolnshire
Show. It is also home to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, a charity whose main objectives are to promote Food, Farming and the Countryside.
Reporting to the Showground & Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the best in customer service and enhancing the customer experience.
You will be a highly motivated team player, a people person, an excellent communicator and deliver the best in customer service, whilst identifying all opportunities to upsell and drive our sales. Back of house, you will oversee the caterers making sure that they continually deliver and exceed expectations.
Key Objectives
Operational Management
- Oversee and ensure that Suppliers and Contractors meet and deliver our requirements at the required standard and within the time frames specified.
Event Planning
- The setup and breakdown of events within our indoor venue.
- Coordinate and chair weekly Operations Meetings.
- Help with the planning and organisation of internal and external events.
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures for both
LAS and external events.
- Communicate with the Sales / Facilities team and caterers to ensure that they are kept fully aware of events and the client’s requirements / feedback.
- Identify sales leads and communicate this to the sales team.
Information, Communication, Reporting
- Evaluate and report on the success of an event.
- Develop productive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, customers and stakeholders.
- Manage the achievement of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and solve customer service and supplier problems.
- Manage information systems.
Customer Service
- Work as part of a team to deliver the highest possible customer service standards.
- Ensure that high customer service standards are achieved.
Health and Safety
- Comply with all rules and requirements detailed in the current edition of the
Lincolnshire Showground Health and Safety Policy.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements including managing and minimising risk to the business, employees and customers.
Special Factors
- Ability to supervise and maintain day to day operations of conferences and events
- To ensure that all event agendas and event briefs are met.
- An organised approach and excellent time management skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and under pressure.
- The ability to use your own initiative but also know when matters need to be referred to a manager.
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
