CSM Corporation is looking for a IT Support Specialist to join the IT team in Minneapolis. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing outstanding desktop end-user support, world-class customer service and thought leadership for digital workplace enhancements in a fast-paced environment. This position will work to ensure continuity of computer system services for computer users by providing the technical expertise, assistance, and project coordination necessary to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems. Acts as a primary interface to the computing services customers that are supported by the IT department to effect real time problem analysis and resolutions via telephone, email, and/or in person. Internal customers include lodging and residential properties and the corporate office.
Position Responsibilities:
Desktop Support
- Handle incoming telephone calls and electronically reported issues from CSM employees to troubleshoot web and desktop-based business applications built on Microsoft technologies.
- Maintain help desk log for incident tracking purposes.
- Provide ongoing expertise and recommendations for improvements in stability of digital workplace solutions.
- Assist in the creation of a roadmap and advocate for the rollout and adoption of end user productivity applications (Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Flow, Power Apps, etc.)
- Oversee ongoing production of support and maintenance updates for established end user efficiency solutions.
Inventory and Tracking
- Assist with tracking desktop assets per established CSM policy.
- Maintains desktop application inventory and licensing programs to ensure compliance within established vendor guidelines
New Employee Set-up & Training
- Modify and execute onboarding training for new hires upon successful setup of new hire computer
Customer Service
- Customer satisfaction is the primary responsibility of the helpdesk. The CSM helpdesk is the primary source of IT support for corporate employees, residential employees, and lodging employees and guests. Communicates with coworkers, vendors, and all others in a courteous and professional manner.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree or two-year certificate, preferably in Computer Science or related field or equivalent. Microsoft certification (MCP) in Windows 7 and Office 2010 Suite.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 1+ year of “help desk” Level 2 or two years of Level 1 support experience in a small to medium sized corporate environment. 1+ year of experience supporting a large remote user base. 2+ years of advanced knowledge with Windows 7, MS Office 2010 applications, basic LAN/WAN troubleshooting, remote connectivity, and Dell Computer desktop hardware. Net+ and A+ Certifications preferred.
- Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for up to 5 hours per day.
- Occasional travel to local company operations and out-of-state.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, smart phones, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, and other office equipment as needed
