What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Ability to challenge poor behaviour

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

Essentials: -

  • Experience of working in a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities environment
  • Previous NHS Experience

Qualifications: -

  • Level 3 qualification (e.g., A-level, NVQ3) in Care or
  • Level 2 qualification (e.g., GCSE, NVQ2) in care and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 3 qualification on appointment to post
  • Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust
  • MAPA training

Knowledge: -

  • Knowledge of Service Users physical/emotional needs
  • IT Literate
  • Understanding of promotion of independent living
  • Understanding the principles of Service Users with complex needs/ challenging behaviour
  • Understanding of Teamwork
