We are seeking an inspirational teacher to join our team on a temporary basis.
The Great Heights Academy Trust is at an exciting stage of growth and development. Currently we are a growing multi-academy trust with seven schools in the West Yorkshire area. In addition, we are home to a SCITT, Research School and an English Hub.
At West Vale Academy, we believe that children are best nurtured towards reaching their full potential when they are happy and secure in their school environment. We are aware that all parents want the best for their children and our aim is to provide every pupil at the Academy with the best possible start to their education.
The role is to carry out the professional duties of a teacher including responsibility for an assigned class, including management of the class and the safety of the pupils, during on/off-site activities.
You will:
- be able to promote independent learning in pupils who are ambitious and embrace challenge
- have a clear understanding of the ways in which children learn and a range of effective teaching styles which meet children's individual needs
- be a well organised and an effective communicator who can work as part of a team
- be confident in your ability and work with initiative
- be able to smile a lot and model high expectations of yourself and others
- be caring, friendly, adaptable and hardworking
