HR Advisor - Refresco UK - Bridgwater, Somerset

Refresco, the world's largest independent soft drinks manufacturer. Refresco, Bridgwater is a modern, state of the art factory - Europe’s largest drinks manufacturer.

About the role
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor is part of a small team and will work with agreed stakeholders, which could include a mixture of the following teams – Cartons, Bottles, Warehouse Engineering, Technical and other associated functions.
The job holder will manage a range of HR transactional activities, to include absence management, employee relations, employee engagement initiatives, and recognitions and reward arrangements.
Experience gained in a large organisation (FMCG/Retail/Pharmaceuticals/Manufacturing) HR department is an advantage, as is exposure to a unionised environment (Refresco Bridgwater has a full recognition union agreement with Unite).

You are likely to be a HR Advisor or very much ready for such a role, but to be transparent, some of your key tasks and responsibilities are set out below:
- Providing expert advice on employee relations, conduct, performance management, grievances, probation reviews and change management.
- Supporting and coaching line managers through the company absence management procedures.
- Making referrals to Occupational Health and working with managers to ensure all reasonable recommendations are put in place.
- Work closely with line managers, providing them with advice, guidance and coaching in line with the company policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment to ensure a consistent and fair approach is adopted.
- Support organisational change, restructuring and development where needed.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels, providing advice and guidance on a range of HR policies and HR related issues and communicate HR best practice.
- Ensure personal continued professional development is undertaken to keep up to date with latest legislative changes.
About you
Confident, articulate and personable, you will have energy, drive, enjoy working at pace. You will be proactive in approach and can demonstrate where you have made a difference. Ideally you have worked for a food manufacturer or large busy site, so are familiar with the situations arising.
You will hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification or studying towards this. You may already be a HR Advisor in a smaller business and ready for more a challenge, or you may be a good HR Administrator ready to take the next step. Certainly, you can demonstrate success in your current role and can add value to our on-site HR team.

The salary for this role is dependent on experience.
Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8.30 - 5.00, Fridays 8.30 - 4.00 and we have free, onsite parking.
